The DC Chamber started coordinating the volunteer Pick n Hoe event in April of 2019, ran the parade only in 2020, and hosted the event in 2021 and 2022. The new Chairperson is Teresa Martin for 2023! Contact her at PicknHoe@USA.com as the new non profit will be running the event for 2024

We know the Dove Creek area and Western Dolores County are a beautiful small rural corner of America, that has very few businesses, and though wanting to retain the character of a quiet area, the potential for increasing a tourism market is on the horizon.

Projects :

The Grass Roots Local MArket at the New Town Hall parking lot on Saturdays in the mostly summer season is still set to go for 2024. Meet up with your neighbors at the Dove Creek Local Market on Saturday mornings, 9am to 12 noon - unless people would like to shift it from 10 to 1pm? Meet in the parking lot in front of the new Town of Dove Creek office 314 W. Hwy 491. We invite local area producers to sell/barter/trade their produce, foods, and art / artisan creations! (NO Yardsales  however you can add your yardsale location to our info board once that is implemented.)  Have a fundraiser? Perfect location for a Saturday.
